The East Africa Procurement Forum (EAPF) is an annual meeting of EAC public procurement regulatory bodies which convenes each year.  The event, introduced in 2008, is rotating every year in different countries of the EA region.

At the 13th East African Procurement Forum held in Kigali – Rwanda on 15th – 16th April 2021, Uganda was given the mantle to organize and host the 14th EAPF in Kampala.

The Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Authority of Uganda (PPDA) will host the forum on behalf of the Government of Uganda.

EAPF is a platform of the public procurement regulatory bodies and suppliers from the seven partner states of the EAC; Uganda, Burundi, Kenya, Rwanda, Tanzania, DR Congo and South Sudan. These regulatory bodies oversees over Two hundred thousand (200,000) registered suppliers with an annual public procurement market size estimated at over 100 Billion USD.

Each year, the forum draws more than 300 delegates of senior procurement, purchasing, sourcing and supply chain executives from the public sector, private sector, professional organizations, development partners, and civil society from the partner states of the EAC and other public procurement players from the African continent and across the globe.

The forum provides participants with an opportunity to share experiences, opportunities and challenges regarding public procurement in the Region and to come up with tangible resolutions to improve procurement systems and regulatory frameworks.
